But anyone who's mapped a wii mote, or even this will tell you that the input data is nigh infinite. Precision is left in the hands of the coders. This has been Nintendo's main downfall with third party titles. They use what's called crutch coding. A method to cut corners to get what's needed without really tapping the potential. The PS Move will have the same drawback. To a third party developer the coding is too large of possibilities for them to waste time calibrating it as such. Even the wii can give you pin point precision and games that make the controller the actual in game tool, but developers have struggled doing so because of the massive data of the mapping. It's the same hindrance that lucas arts hit with their light saber duels. That and tactile response data. The PS Move will fare the same. Sure they use a different method to achieve the same goal, but the precision is going to be left to the third party developers and whether or not they use the same crutch coding techniques to speed up development time as they do on the wii. "Precision being greater than the wii" is what everyone is touting, but honestly this isn't the case. That's just hype. The question will be how far will developers use the movement mapping data. Anyone who's messed around with a wii-mote on pc can tell you exactly how precise it can actually be (which no one but game developers actually know it seems). Just as if they can get this to work on PC, they'll be able to tell you how precise it actually is in comparison(without the hype and BS). First parties like to spout hype, and generally know their own device inside and out to code it to reflect as such. But as did nintendo with its games. The third party titles are what reflect people's misinterpretation of the wii capabilities. It can do all that the PS Move can do, just no one's bothered to code it that well to do so in third party titles. Wii-motes also have the X y and Z planes like the ps move. What I will give sony more credit for though, is that they thought ahead and made the remote rechargeable. Something nintendo overlooked. But other than that, they are about equal, with third parties really being the deciding factor if they use crutch coding still or not.

Companies can deal with that by remastering the film in a higher resolution (8K) prior to downsizing it for broadcast or distribution. Check out the Blu-Ray of Wizard of Oz, which did exactly that to minimize (not eliminate) the noise without resorting to destructive noise reduction techniques.

So much film grain that the characters on screen were practically blurry at times. Still going to watch the entire thing sometime this weekend though. i was hoping that I just caught one of the parts that really suffered from the HD treatment and that the rest of the film would look glorious.
