The film studio behind the seemingly unstoppable Saw franchise, Twisted Pictures, is about to add another horror franchise to their coffers. Twisted Pictures is about to take over the rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. The current plan is to have writer Stephen Susco (The Grudge) “contemporize the storyline for a 3D film”. The plan is to sign the rights for a multi-picture deal.
So it looks like horror films are coming full circle. 3D is back, and studios want to capitalize. So are horror fans ready for yet another reboot of this franchise?
